Infrastructure Maintenance Crew
Be part of the fencing/gate crew--help maintain the garden's fencing, from the split rail to the posts and mesh that keep deer out of our plots. Participate in helping fix perimeter fencing of quadrants. Involves digging, setting poles, resetting poles, and replacing fencing mesh. Aiding with the split rail fencing maintenance. This is generally two or three times a gardening season; level of exertion is moderate to strenuous.
Or help maintain the water system if there are leaks, or hose hangers need replacement, or the faucets need repair.
Or help with trash removal, especially during the spring and fall large garden clean ups.
Or be a huge help to your fellows with back up gardening: This is a much appreciate ad hoc activity, when you might be asked to fill-in for a limited time for gardeners on vacation, out sick, etc.; as needed for weeding and other tasks. Level of exertion is easy to moderate.
